A vehicle was stopped and its two occupants, a man and a woman, were arrested. Police, who had a search warrant for the vehicle, towed it to a “secure police facility,” according to a release from RCMP on Wednesday.
During a thorough search, officers located and seized about 126 grams of “suspected methamphetamine hidden in a pizza box inside the vehicle.”
Police said the substance will be tested further.
The continued investigation has resulted in charges being laid against a 70-year-old Wilkie man and a 26-year-old woman from North Battleford under The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The man and woman appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on March 30.
