Police in Saskatoon say a 31-year-old man is recovering from a gunshot wound after he was allegedly attacked during an attempted robbery on Monday evening.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers got a report about a shooting in a garage on Avenue I South, in the city’s King George neighbourhood, shortly before 7 p.m.

“Arriving officers located a 31-year-old man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries; he was transported to hospital by paramedics for further medical care,” the police force explained in a statement.
“Through their investigation, officers learned a male suspect had attended the garage and allegedly attempted to rob the victim when a physical altercation ensued and the suspect discharged a firearm towards the victim.”
Police said the suspect was gone by the time the officers arrived, and asked anyone with information that could help further the investigation to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
