A man was arrested in Saskatoon on Wednesday morning after allegedly menacing an employee of an armoured car service with a fake gun.
According to police, officers were called to the 100 block of Hampton Circle, in the city’s Hampton Village neighbourhood, at around 10:45 a.m.

“Upon arrival, officers located the suspect in a vehicle within the parking lot of the business,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Following commands issued by officers, the man was arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle located an imitation firearm.”
Police said the 63-year-old man is now facing “multiple” gun-related charges.
Police say alleged shoplifter spat in face of security guard
A 43-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday evening after allegedly spitting in the face of a mall security guard while shoplifting.
Police say officers were called to a mall on First Avenue South at around 7 p.m. The police force did not name the mall, but the address corresponds with Midtown.
“Upon arrival, it was learned that a woman had been detained by mall security for a theft when she spit in the face of a security guard,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Following a search of her person, several items believed to belong to a business in the mall were located.”
The woman was charged with assault and theft under $5,000, police said.
