Lanes heading into Saskatoon from Regina are open again after a semi with a trailer damaged the Circle Drive overpass on Highway 11.
In an update issued late on Thursday, the Saskatoon Police Service said one eastbound and one northbound lane were once again open to traffic following the crash. No injuries were reported, police added, and the damage has been assessed by city engineers.

But even with single lanes open, the police force asked drivers to avoid the crash site if possible.
“Traffic flow restrictions will remain until further notice,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement. “Motorists are asked to take alternate routes or expect delays in the area.”
“Southbound traffic leaving Saskatoon on Highway 11 and Highway 16 westbound remains free-flowing and will not be impacted,” the City of Saskatoon noted in a statement.
“Semi-trucks on Highway 11 northbound approaching Saskatoon are being detoured around the area at Township 360 by way of Range Road 3050.”
A previous release from the Saskatoon Police service reported that the semi was carrying a piece of equipment in the northbound lane of Highway 11 from Regina entering the city limits. Police said the load was too high for the overpass structure and caused “significant damage.”
