A 26-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal stabbing in Saskatoon.
According to police, two 25-year-old men seeking treatment for stab wounds arrived at St. Paul’s Hospital at around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 3. Police said one of the men later died as a result of his injuries, while the other man was in stable condition.

On Feb. 7, police announced that an 18-year-old man, Avyn Ahenakew, had been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault. Those charges were reduced last week.
“He is now charged with accessory after the fact to manslaughter, accessory after the fact to aggravated assault, public mischief, and obstruction of justice,” police said in a statement. “The charges of manslaughter and aggravated assault have been withdrawn.”
On Wednesday, police said a 26-year-old man is facing charges of manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal stabbing. He’s expected to appear in court on Wednesday afternoon.
