Homemade tire deflation devices made of drywall screws put through electrical cord were found scattered on Nipawin streets on Sunday, including at the entrance to the RCMP parking lot.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on March 2 that officers from the Nipawin detachment are investigating after they received a call around 10:30 a.m. on March 1.
Mounties said the spiky devices were found at the corner of 1st Avenue East and 2nd Street East, the corner of Railway Avenue and 1st Avenue West, as well as the detachment parking lot at 119 Nipawin Road East.
No vehicle damage was reported to police.
Anyone with information, or anyone who witnessed suspicious activity where the spikes were located on March 1 between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. is asked to call Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP, their local police service or to inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
