Police in Saskatoon seized more than five kilograms of methamphetamine at the conclusion of a drug investigation early on Thursday morning.
According to police, officers stopped a vehicle in the area of 33rd Street West and Neault Road at around 1:30 a.m. as part of the investigation, arresting two women who were inside the vehicle, ages 48 and 49.

A search of the vehicle turned up 5,082 grams of meth, police said, along with a single gram of crack cocaine, $600 in cash and scales.
“As a result, the two women have both been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
