Saskatoon road crews are working to keep the streets clear after a sudden storm dropped about seven centimetres of snow on the city.
The city said workers started with the highest-priority routes on Monday, including Circle Drive, Idlywyld Drive and College Drive, before moving to high-priority double-lane roads like Clarence Avenue, McKercher Drive and Millar Avenue.

After that work is complete, the city said road crews will move on to clearing neighbourhood feeder routes like Louise Avenue, Howell Avenue and Main Street.
“We will also clear City facility sidewalks, Meewasin Trail, pathways along major routes, and walkways over bridges and overpasses within 48 hours,” the city said in a statement.
“When you see the blue and amber flashing lights of snow crews, please slow down, remain at least 15 metres (2.5 car lengths) behind, and be prepared to stop.”
The city advised drivers to be cautious on the roads after the snowfall, encouraging commuters to slow down and leave extra space between vehicles.
Home and business owners were also reminded to clear snow from their sidewalks, with businesses required to do so within 24 hours and homeowners required to shovel within 48 hours of the snowfall.
