Two teenage boys, ages 15 and 16, are facing charges after a pair of alleged armed robberies in the city’s Fairhaven neighbourhood.
Police said officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive at about 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

“An employee reported being threatened by two unknown males armed with a machete. The suspects stole cash and liquor before fleeing the scene,” police said in a statement, adding that the staff member was not injured.
At about 11:50 p.m. that same day, officers responded to “a report of an assault and robbery at a home in the 3400 block of Fairlight Drive.”
Police said two boys allegedly beat a 22-year-old female victim before stealing her cell phone and fleeing.
“The victim was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries,” said the police force.
Officers tracked down the two alleged robbers and arrested them shortly after midnight following a foot chase in the 200 block of Langevin Crescent, police said.
The two teens are now facing charges of robbery, while the 16-year-old was also charged with obstruction and breaching release conditions.
Saskatoon man arrested for alleged assault and robbery in Westmount neighbourhood
Two men allegedly assaulted and robbed another man in the city’s Wesmount neighbourhood on Valentine’s Day.
Police officers were called to a report of an assault and robbery at about 2:30 p.m. According to police the 32-year-old male victim had just left work at a business in the 900 block of 22nd Street West when he was attacked.
The victim went to a nearby gas station for help while being chased by one of the suspects, added the Saskatoon Police Service. He was not injured during the alleged attack.
“The suspects were no longer at the scene but one male was located a short time later by an officer,” police said in a statement.
The 24-year-old man is now facing a charge of robbery.
