A record-breaking $1.8-million showhome is the headline prize in the latest Hospitals of Regina Foundation Spring Home Lottery, and the funds raised are going straight to Regina hospitals.
At the launch event in Emerald Park on Wednesday, the foundation unveiled its 2026 Spring Home Lottery, featuring a 4,448-square-foot showhome built by Ripplinger Homes – the most valuable grand prize yet – along with $50,000 cash.
“This showhome is something special and it’s a reflection of what our community has come to expect from this program,” said Dino Sophocleous, president and CEO of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation. “But the real winners are the patients and families in southern Saskatchewan who benefit from better care closer to home.”

The Spring Home Lottery has been a staple of fundraising in Regina since 1987, with the last decades of lotteries helping the foundation raise tens of millions of dollars for essential care in the region.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports this ongoing effort,” Sophocleous said. “Year after year, our donors, ticket purchasers and partners help us make meaningful investments in health care right here at home.”

Money where it matters
Proceeds from the 2026 lottery contribute to a $5.6-million commitment to Regina hospitals and health-care facilities, including urgent care and breast health services.
Among the largest investments was $1.8 million for maternal and pediatric care, including $750,000 for the NICU at Regina General Hospital’s Rawlco Centre for Mother Baby Care and nearly $500,000 for the labour and birth unit.
“Pediatrics is a huge priority for the foundation,” Sophocleous said. “We see and treat about 20,000 children every year in Regina.”
Funds also support cardiac services, oncology treatment, medical imaging and upgrades to the inpatient adult mental health unit at Regina General Hospital, as well as helping local neurosurgeons access new technology.
‘Safer and more effective’ thanks to new technology
More than 200 brain surgeries were performed in Regina last year.
“Thanks to a commitment of more than $300,000 from Hospitals of Regina Foundation, our neurosurgical team will receive new technology to make our brain surgery safer and more effective,” said Kerri Hysuick, executive director of tertiary and surgical services for Integrated Regina Health with the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Hysuick said the BrainPath system – a surgical tumour removal technique – allows surgeons to navigate natural grooves in the brain instead of cutting through healthy tissue.
“This method reduces trauma, protecting areas of the brain responsible for critical tasks like speech, movement, sensation and vision,” she said.
Hysuick explained the NICO Myriad handpiece works with fluorescent dye to help surgeons see and remove tumours and blood clots more precisely.
“Both technologies together will help our neurosurgeons deliver the best care possible to our southern Saskatchewan community,” Hysuick said.
A new corner for an old favourite
The spring lottery’s showhome landed in Emerald Park this year, the first spring showhome outside of Regina after many editions in The Creeks.
“We ran out of lots at The Creeks,” Sophocleous explained. “Emerald Park is a fantastic location. It feels like The Creeks a bit, but less crowded.”

“This house really has a showhome feel that anyone could see themselves living in,” Sophocleous said.
Deadlines and tickets
Organizers said the lottery was already about 30 per cent sold at launch.
The VIP prize deadline is Feb. 27, followed by bonus prize deadlines in March and April, with the final grand prize deadline on May 1, 2026.
Tickets start at $100, with multi-pack options available. They are available online or by phone at 1-800-667-7760.
“We all know people who’ve used our hospitals,” Sophocleous said. “This is about friends, families, neighbours and our promise to help provide the best care possible for everyone in southern Saskatchewan.”
