Police in Saskatoon are investigating after a man suffering from a gunshot wound was found at a home on McCormack Road on Saturday.
According to police, officers were called to the home in the city’s Parkridge neighbourhood at around 11:15 p.m., where they found the 40-year-old victim.

“He was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement. “Police are continuing to investigate.”
Anyone with information on the shooting was encouraged to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
Driver hits fence with Honda: Police
Police said officers were called to Nokomis Crescent, in the city’s Lawson Heights neighbourhood, at around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday after getting a report that a driver in a Honda Civic had crashed into a fence and a shed before taking off on foot.
“Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with significant damage abandoned in the middle of the street,” the police force said.
“A suspect description was obtained and the male was located a short distance away.”
Police said the 23-year-old who was allegedly behind the wheel is now facing a charge of refusing to provide a breath sample and was also issued a hit-and-run ticket.
Nobody home after gun call
Police responded to a call about an “altercation” involving a gun-toting man at a home on Avenue Q South early on Saturday morning, but when officers arrived at the scene they couldn’t locate either the suspect or the victim.
According to police, officers got a report saying a man brandishing a firearm had entered the home in Pleasant Hill at around 2:30 a.m. “and was involved in an altercation with an occupant.”
Police said officers “confirmed the presence of a firearm,” but said the suspect and the victim were both gone by the time police showed up.
Once again, anyone with information that could help the investigation was encouraged to make a report through the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
