RCMP officers are searching for a “person of interest” in the community of Cumberland House after a shooting left one person injured on Thursday morning.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, there will be a significant police presence in the community northeast of Nipawin as officers investigate the shooting.

“Officers are currently searching for a person of interest, who is described as a male in his 20s with black hair and brown eyes,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“He is known to drive a blue 2008 Chrysler 300 with Saskatchewan license plate 215 NGG.”
Anyone who sees the car or the person of interest was advised to stay clear and contact police or Crime Stoppers.
“As this is an unfolding investigation, we are unable to provide any additional details at this time. We will provide an update on this investigation as soon as we are able,” the RCMP noted.
“If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.”
