RCMP officers in Lloydminster are investigating a shooting that left a 29-year-old man injured on Sunday.
According to police, officers were called to the area of 47 Avenue in the Border City just before midnight, where they found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

“The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to recover,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“The victim reports being outside when they were approached by a lone suspect who demanded the keys for the victim’s vehicle. A struggle ensued upon such time as the victim was shot. The suspect entered a dark coloured SUV and left.”
Police said the suspect is a heavy-set man, standing about five-foot-eight, with a “medium complexion.”
“This is a troubling crime,” Jerry Nutbrown, the RCMP’s Lloydminster detachment commander, said in a statement.
“Know that all available resources are being utilized to locate this dangerous suspect.”
