Saskatoon’s Emily Clark was the only athlete from Saskatchewan named to the women’s Olympic hockey team on Friday after Hockey Canada unveiled the roster for the team that will represent the nation at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Clark helped Canada take home gold in the women’s hockey at Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, when the Canadians defeated the United States 3-2 in the final.
She made her Olympic debut at Pyeongchang, South Korea in 2018, where she helped Canada win silver.
The 30-year-old forward has won nine medals (three gold, five silver, one bronze) at the IIHF World Championship since 2015, according to 2026 Canada Olympic Committee website.

The women’s team has made seven appearances in the Olympic Winter Games since 1998, medalling in each appearance. The team has won five gold medals, two silver medals. This includes four consecutive gold medals from 2002 to 2014, according to Hockey Canada’s website.
