8:30 – The holiday season means there have been lots of roadside check stops from Saskatchewan law enforcement over the past few weeks. Saskatoon Police Service will soon implement mandatory alcohol screening in the city, something Regina did almost two years ago, which allows police to lawfully demand a driver to provide a roadside breath sample without requiring suspicion of impairment. Kyla Lee, a lawyer specializing in criminal driving with Acumen Law, joins guest host Brent Loucks to discuss what this mandatory screening will mean for Saskatoon.

LQ: Saskatchewan and Quebec are the only provinces that allow people to shoot animals in an enclosed setting, although Alberta is moving to allow it. Should we be allowing this?
9:30 – A woman from Maidstone, Sask., is facing a $12,000 fine and a five-year hunting suspension after an interprovincial investigation found that the woman had illegally trafficked bear gall bladders. The investigation began back in March 2022. Guest host Brent Loucks welcomes Todd Smith, executive director of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF), to explain why these bear parts are valuable and the concerns with illegal trafficking in Saskatchewan.
