Police are investigating what’s being considered a suspicious death in Wollaston Lake.
On Dec. 17 at approximately 6:15 p.m., RCMP received a report of a dead man at a home in the remote northern community. Officers responded, confirmed the man was dead, and secured the scene for further investigation.

He has been identified as a 33-year-old from Wollaston Lake and his family has been notified.
RCMP are not providing additional details about the man at this time, but said there would be an increased police presence in the community in the coming days. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, they said they will notify the public.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken the lead in the investigation.
