Officers and local EMS responded and located an injured woman, who was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation found that the woman got into a fight with a man in a pickup truck, and was injured by the truck when the driver fled the scene.
The driver has since been identified as Jack Sanderson of Sturgeon Lake First Nation, who has been charged with aggravated assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failing to stop after an accident, and two counts of operating a vehicle while prohibited.
Police are actively searching for Sanderson, who’s described as 5-foot-9 and weighing 172 lbs with short black hair and brown eyes. He has a geometric design tattoo on his right forearm and a barbed wire tattoo on his left arm.
It’s believed he may be driving an older model red Dodge pickup truck, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
Police continue to investigate.
Anyone with information, or who sees Jack Sanderson, is asked to call Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP, their local police service or to inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
