Saskatoon man charged with alleged attempted robbery: Police

A 31-year-old Saskatoon man allegedly tried to steal an item from a business Thursday evening in the city’s Haultain neighbourhood.

According to police, officers were called about 9 p.m. to the 2000 block of 8^th Street East where “a man was being held by security guards.”

“It was reported the male attempted to steal an item and when confronted, he threatened the guards with a knife,” said the police in a statement.

The man faces a charge of robbery, noted police.

Saskatoon Police Service said that no one was physically injured during the incident.
