The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes unit is in Meadow Lake this weekend, investigating a death they deem suspicious.
Meadow Lake RCMP first received a report at around 8:50 a.m. on Nov. 28, explaining there was an unresponsive person in a parking lot near the junction of Highway 4 and First Avenue West.

Officers quickly located the person, who was declared dead at the scene. They have since been identified as a 29-year-old woman from Waterhen Lake First Nation. No further information was released about the victim’s identity.
RCMP are considering the death as suspicious.
They are now asking anyone with information about the incident, or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area early Friday morning, to report it to police.
