Saskatoon Police Service said they received a report of an injured man with what he “reported to be a machete” Sunday afternoon.
Police said they responded to the call, which happened in the 100 block of Avenue W South at about 3:30 p.m.

According to a police statement, the victim did not know the male suspect who struck him.
The 36-year-old man is recovering from his injuries.
“The victim was transported to hospital for treatment for non life-threatening injuries,” said police.

Bear spray threatened to be allegedly used in Pleasant Hill neighbourhood
Two Saskatoon men reportedly kicked down the front door of a house and threatened to use bear spray Friday evening in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.
Police reported responding to a call to a home in the 200 block of Avenue V South around 6:50 p.m. The two men were “threatening to use bear spray,” according to the police statement.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the two men matching the suspect descriptions and found they had bear spray.
The two men, 18 and 20 years old, are facing charges of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and carrying a concealed weapon.
The 20-year-old was also found to be in breach of court conditions and was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest, noted police.
Two men face armed robbery charges of delivery driver near restaurant parking lot
Two men are facing charges after allegedly robbing a delivery driver in a restaurant parking lot on Sunday morning.
At about 4 a.m., police said they were called to the parking lot in the 300 block of Confederation Drive.
“A 29-year-old man reported being in his car when he was approached by another male who was wearing a balaclava and in possession of a gun. The suspect opened the vehicle door and stole food items,” said police in a statement.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a silver Infiniti sedan in the same parking lot. Police took the two men into custody.
The 18-year-old male also had a CO2 pistol, according to police, and he is now facing charges including armed robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of court conditions.
The 20-year-old driver was charged with breaching his court conditions.
Police said the victim was not injured.
