A 27-year-old man has been charged after allegedly threatening staff at a Saskatoon business with a knife during a robbery on Thursday afternoon.
Police said officers were called to a business on the 1800 block of Broadway Avenue shortly after 3 p.m., where an armed robbery had just happened.

“A man entered the business, threatened a staff member with a knife, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing into another nearby business and robbing it of merchandise,” said police in a statement.
Police said the suspect had fled by the time officers arrived.
After a police dog tracked the suspect down in the Gladmer Cresecent area, he was taken into custody and was taken to hospital for “treatment of injuries consistent with a dog bite,” noted police.
He’s since been charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
