The University of Saskatchewan Huskies and University of Regina Rams have put a bow on the 2025 Canada West football regular season this weekend.
The Rams fell to the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds 31-29 in overtime on Friday, dropping the Rams to 6-2 and second place in the standings.

The Huskies beat the University of Manitoba Bisons 31-12 on Saturday, moving the Huskies to 7-1 and first place.
It was a thrilling Friday night in Leibel Field in Regina, as the Rams opened the scoring with a rushing touchdown, and a safety near the end of the quarter saw Regina up 9-0 heading into the second .
The Thunderbirds hit an early field goal cutting the lead to 9-3, then the Rams and the teams then traded touchdowns, making it 16-10 Rams before a rouge made it 17-10 Rams at halftime.
UBC came out with a field goal to start the scoring in the second half, the Rams threw for a touchdown making it 24-13 at the end of the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter the Rams opened it up with a field goal and a rouge extending their lead to 28-13.
Then with 1:39 left, the Thunderbirds threw for a touchdown making it 28-20 and with just 41 seconds left in the game, UBC tied it up after a 21-yard touchdown pass and a successful two point conversion.
In overtime the Rams scored a rouge making it 29-28, but the Thunderbirds wonwith a field goal 31-29.
In Saskatoon on Saturday, it was all Huskies.
The Dogs threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter making it 14-0 Huskies and another touchdown pass in the second made it 21-0, but the University of Manitoba Bisons kicked a successful field goal to bring the score to 21-3 at the half.
Another Bisons field goal then made it 21-6, but the Huskies kicked their own, making it 24-6.
The Bisons kicked one last field goal before the Huskies ran home a 72-yard fumble recovery making it 31-12.
Saskatchewan Roughriders draft pick and Huskies receiver Daniel Wiebe set two records in the game — for his 11th touchdown of the season and 25th of his career.
The Huskies now host the Thunderbirds next Saturday in the Canada West semifinal, while the Rams host the Bisons the same day.
