The final drop-off day for household hazardous waste at Saskatoon’s Material Recovery Centre is set for Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The city said it will accept “automotive fluids, cleaners, cylinders, light bulbs, yard chemicals and more.” A complete list of acceptable and unacceptable items can be found on the city’s website.

This program is only open to residents with household products, and doesn’t commercial loads. Containers used for transporting household hazardous waste may not be returned, noted the city. Residents were asked to make sure to safely seal and clearly label all containers.
To avoid long lines, the city advised residents to consult its online Waste Wizard tool to find other methods of recycling and safe disposal.
