Northeastern parts of Saskatchewan were under a snowfall warning on Monday, with total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm expected in areas like Cumberland House, Creighton and Pelican Narrows.
Environment Canada said in the warning that the highest amounts would fall near the Manitoba border and should taper off by the afternoon.

The Highway Hotline said travel was not recommended on Highway 3 from the Manitoba border to Hudson Bay andon Highway 9 from the junction of Highway 983 because of slush, ice and heavy snow in the area.

The southern part of the province, which saw moderate to light snowfall on Sunday remained chilly, with a high temperature in Regina today of only 3 C, with 5 C expected in Saskatoon.
Things warm up a little for Tuesday after low temperatures of -4 C in Regina and -6 C in Saskatoon expected overnight, although Regina will only reach 6 C and Saskatoon 8 C during the day.

Wednesday in both cities temperatures return to double-digit highs.
