YELLOWKNIFE — RCMP in the Northwest Territories are investigating after the death of a passenger on an international flight that had to be diverted to Yellowknife.
Mounties say they were told Sunday morning that Flight KLM601 landed at Yellowknife Airport because a passenger had become unresponsive.

Police say a 34-year-old woman died in hospital, but they did not provide details.
The flight tracking service Flightradar24 says KLM601 was headed from Amsterdam to Los Angeles.
The Northwest Territories government, which operates the airport, deferred questions to KLM.
The Dutch airline did not immediately respond to emailed questions.
