CFL fans made a lot of noise this week as commissioner Stewart Johnston announced significant rule changes coming in 2026 and 2027.
The changes include shortening the field from 110 yards to 100, bringing in a 35-second play clock and moving the goal posts from the front of the end zone to the back. Changes are also coming to the rouge, and the end zones are being shortened from 20 to 15 yards.
