A 14-year-old Saskatoon boy was hospitalized after police say he was shot in the neck by a group of children armed with a BB gun on Wednesday.
According to police, the boy was walking near Rusholme Road and Avenue W North, in the city’s Mount Royal neighbourhood, at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday when the group approached him.

Police said “a verbal and physical struggle ensued,” and the 14-year-old was shot.
The victim was able to get away and get back to his home, where he contacted police.
“The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury,” the police force added.
“The suspects and victim were not believed to be known to one another.”
