The self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada,” Romana Didulo, made her first court appearance Friday morning in Swift Current.
Didulo, who was arrested by Saskatchewan RCMP on Wednesday during a raid of the former Richmound School, and re-arrested on Thursday, appeared before Judge Alan Jacobson.

The 50-year-old consistently interrupted Jacobson, demanded her release, and said she “would only consent to a natural law trial.”
Jacobson calmly explained the charges to Didulo: one count, failing to comply with the undertaking condition and one count, intimidation of a justice system participant.
The Richmound resident refused a lawyer.
Contrary to the Saskatchewan RCMP’s report Thursday night, Didulo was in custody before the court appearance and was remanded following her appearance.
The Crown has requested an adjournment until Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a bail hearing.
