The couple posed in a garden, surrounded by pink and white flowers.
The post was captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” along with a dynamite emoji.
The post received more than six million “likes” on Instagram in less than 45 minutes.
The song featured in the post, “So High School,” is about Kelce, with lyrics like, “I feel so high school every time I look at you.”
The pop star and football player have been dating for two years. They started dating in 2023 shortly after Swift performed at Arrowhead Stadium, which is home to the Kansas City Chiefs, where Kelce plays as a tight end.
He explained in an episode of New Heights, a podcast Kelce hosts alongside his brother Jason, that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it, but wasn’t initially successful.
The NFL was quick to make a post congratulating the couple.
Congratulations to Travis and Taylor 🤍💍

The engagement announcement comes after a busy month for Swift.
Earlier in August, she made her podcast debut on New Heights, with a total of 1.3 million people tuning in to watch the two-hour episode.
“This is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,” Swift said while talking about Kelce.
During the podcast, Swift also revealed her new cover for her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which is set to be released on October 3. Since then, she has announced multiple variations of the new album, which are only available on her store for a limited time.
Regina Swiftie happy for Taylor
Christy Garn has seen Swift perform five times and even met her in person.
“She makes you feel like you’ve known her forever,” she said. “She’s so easy to talk to, very sweet, welcoming, warm, humble, genuine and inviting.”
The Regina Swiftie said she was “over the moon” when she heard about Swift and Kelce’s engagement.
“You can tell there’s genuine, pure happiness between them, and the chemistry speaks for itself,” Garn said. “They’re wonderful.”
For many years, Swift has sung about her romances and heartaches. Garn is glad that Swift will get her happily ever after.
The road to The Life of a Showgirl
The Life of a Showgirl follows last year’s The Tortured Poets Department, which was announced during the 2024 Grammy Awards and released during her record-breaking tour, which raked in over $2.2 billion across two years and five continents, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.
The new album will also represent Swift’s first release since she regained control over her entire body of work. In May, the pop star said she purchased her catalog of recordings — originally released through Big Machine Records — from their most recent owner, the private equity firm Shamrock Capital. She did not disclose the amount she paid.
