Loon Lake RCMP are looking for two men who have been charged with a number of offences after they say an ATV was stolen at gunpoint on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation last week.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on Aug. 26 that three men had been charged with breaking and entering with intent, using an imitation firearm, robbery with a weapon and assault with a weapon, after the Aug. 21 incident and a 32-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 25.
They are hunting for the other two men. All three are from from Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
Police said in the release that officers were called to a home on the old townsite on the First Nation around 9:30 a.m. and their investigation found that two men had broken in, while a third man remained outside.
One of the men who entered the home had a firearm, RCMP said, and they demanded keys to a black 2024 CFMOTO CForce 400 ATV with storage boxes on both the front and back before riding it way. No one was injured.
Police are still looking for 25-year-old Justin Kytwayhat and 34-year-old Owen Kytwayhat.
Justin Kytwayhat is 5-foot-11 and weighs 180 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair and a scar on right ankle, RCMP said, while Owen Kytwayhat is 5-foot-nine, weighs 160 lbs and has brown eyes and black hair with multiple tattoos, including numbers on his cheeks, a star above his left eyebrow, and words on his neck.
The 32-year-old man arrested is scheduled to appear in Loon Lake Provincial Court on Aug. 28.
The two men police are looking for should not be approached, RCMP said, and anyone who knows where they are or has any information about the ATV, is asked to call Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP, their local police service or to inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
