According to police, officers were called to a liquor store located at Warman Road and Assiniboine Drive, in the city’s River Heights neighbourhood, at around 10 a.m.

“A staff member reported that two males had entered the store with what was believed to be a weapon, stole some items and fled in a green Ford Bronco,” the Saskatoon Police Service explained in a statement.
As officers were investigating the first alleged robbery, they got a report of a second armed robbery at a gas station on 22nd Street West.
“Staff at that business reported that two males entered the store and threatened them with a firearm before stealing items and fleeing in greed Ford Bronco,” police said.
No injuries were reported in either robbery, police noted.
Officers located the Bronco outside an apartment on Avenue V south a short time later, and two suspects came outside following a short negotiation with officers.
The two men – ages 21 and 32 – are each facing charges of armed robbery, while police said the older man is facing additional charges of wearing a disguise and possession of a firearm. He was also wanted on outstanding warrants.
The duo could be facing additional charges, the police force noted, as the green Bronco was found to be stolen.
