Two men are facing a list of criminal charges after an investigation by Saskatchewan Mounties led to the seizure of four illegal guns and several types of drugs.
According to the RCMP, officers searched a home on Hiebert Crescent in Martensville on Wednesday, where they seized a sawed-off shotgun, a replica gun, cocaine, a substance suspected to be MDMA, and “other evidence of drug trafficking.” A man and woman were arrested at the home.

Later that same day, officers searched a home on St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford and a business located near the intersection of Highway 16 and Poundmaker Trail.
At the business, the RCMP said officers seized a loaded shotgun and a second replica gun, along with more cocaine, suspected MDMA. No evidence of drug trafficking was found at the home.
The RCMP said officers arrested a second man, who was found in a vehicle in North Battleford.
“While searching the vehicle, officers located and seized a loaded semi-automatic rifle, a loaded sawed-off rifle, cocaine, a sum of cash and additional evidence of drug trafficking,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“In total, officers located and seized four illegal firearms (three of which were loaded), two replica firearms, 246 grams of suspected MDMA, 55 grams of cocaine and 36 grams of psilocybin.”
The two men who were arrested, ages 32 and 34, are each facing six counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, along with a lengthy list of weapons charges.
The woman who was arrested in Martensville was released without charges, the RCMP said.
“Our officers and residents are safer any time illegal guns and illicit drugs are seized,” inspector Ryan How, commander of the Battlefords RCMP detachment, said in a statement.
