Saskatoon’s downtown streets were painted with colours, bubbles and music for the city’s annual parade to kick off the exhibition.
On Wednesday, hundreds of people brought their lawn chairs and watched as dozens of floats paraded down Spadina Crescent East, making way towards 20th Street.

Santa Claus, Michelangelo the Ninja Turtle and Disney princesses were some of the fan favourites among children.
The Saskatoon exhibition opens on Thursday morning at Prairieland Park and will run until Aug. 7. Thousands of people are expected to come together at the midway for classic carnival rides and entertainment.
