A Humboldt man is dead following a high-speed collision within the city.
On July 11, Humboldt RCMP were notified about a collision at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Main Street between an SUV and a car, which was seen driving at high speeds.

Both drivers were taken to hospital, where the driver of the car was declared dead by medical staff.
The 35-year-old man’s family has been notified.

The driver of the SUV has injuries described as serious, but not life-threatening.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Before the collision, a conservation officer saw the car driving at a high speed. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but immediately lost sight of it.
Humboldt RCMP continue to investigate with the help of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
