A 39-year-old man who allegedly stole a van to flee from a jail work detail earlier this week has been arrested.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, Michael Landry was arrested “without incident” on Thursday, on 22nd Street in Saskatoon.

Police said Landry escaped from a work crew from the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre north of the city on Tuesday afternoon, fleeing in a stolen 15-passenger van.
The RCMP warned the public not to approach Landry.
He’s now facing a new charge of escaping from lawful custody, and is expected to appear in court in Saskatoon on Thursday.
