Three people are now facing charges of first-degree murder in connection with the death of 35-year-old Aron Lunan.
Police were called to a rural area near Grand Coulee, just west of Regina, on June 10 after officers got a report of a deceased person, who was later identified as Lunan, a resident of Regina. Lunan was last seen alive in the city’s North Central neighbourhood.

The RCMP said Lunan’s death was being investigated as a homicide, and put out a call for information from the public. Later, the Regina Police Service took over the investigation, as officers determined that the case “originated within the city of Regina.”
On Thursday, police announced that 24-year-old Britain Volk was facing a charge of first-degree murder in connection with Lunan’s death.
Then, on Friday morning, police said two more people have also been charged.
According to police, 30-year-old Patrick Akapew and 38-year-old Tyler Wayne Edwards were both arrested on Thursday. They’re each charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Regina man’s death.
Both men are expected to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Friday.
