Since 2019, the foundation has been working to support education, amateur sports and health as a way to give back to the province.

In its ‘24-’25 impact report, the foundation said player ambassadors from the CFL club spent time reading with more than 34,000 students across the province, and delivered 3,727 books to Kindergarten classrooms.
Kids logged more than 435,000 minutes of reading through the Summer Rider Reading Challenge, and more than 60,000 books were distributed through Turn the Page with First Book Canada and the Jays Care Foundation.
More than $1.8 million was directed into amateur football programs thanks to the team’s record-setting 50/50 season, and the foundation provided 1,000 brand-new helmets to more than 125 amateur teams around the province.
The Roughrider Foundation also held 30 “Grow the Game” camps that introduced more than 400 young people to football fundamentals.
The foundation also raised more than $250,000 for its youth programs through its three big annual fundraisers – the SaskTel Plaza of Honour Gala, the Winter Classic and its Pigskins and Punchlines event.
Additionally, the foundation’s player ambassadors made more than 110 community appearances, reading with kids, sharing stories of mental wellness, and coaching young players on the field.
“Our player ambassadors travelled over 16,500 kilometres across the province during the school season to deliver our programs,” the foundation said in a statement.
