The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) plane was used in the arrest of a man on Monday.
SPS said in a news release on June 30 that the 31-year-old man was arrested after the Chevrolet Malibu he was driving was halted by tire deflation devices after the plane tracked the vehicle after he refused to stop for officers and began driving in a dangerous manner.

Police said that around 3 a.m. that morning officers had tried to stop the vehicle near 33rd Street and Avenue F and then called in the plane, which was able to direct police on the ground to place the deflation devices.
SPS said the man tried to run away but was caught a short distance away from where he was stopped, at 41st Street and Avenue B North.
Police said the vehicle had been reported stolen.
The man is facing six charges that include impaired driving, evading police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
SPS investigating early-morning stabbing
Police are looking for information as they investigate the stabbing of a 26-year-old man in Mt. Royal on Sunday morning.
SPS said in a news release on that officers received a report about the injured man around 3 a.m. on June 29, 2025, and were told he was bleeding and walking in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West.
Police found the man with a stab wound, and he was then taken to hospital.
