According to the City of Saskatoon, the bridge will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until noon for the Rock Your Roots: Walk for Reconciliation, and the city’s celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day.
In addition, Spadina Crescent will be closed between Second and Third avenues and between Avenue G and Avenue A. The southbound lanes of 19th Street will be closed between Avenue A and Third Avenue, another closure will be in place between Third and 19th Street, and Victoria Avenue will be closed between the Traffic Bridge and 11th Street.
“Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the event zone. Rock Your Roots event restrictions will be lifted by 2:00 p.m. barring any unforeseen circumstances,” the City of Saskatoon said in a statement.
Transit routes may be affected by the road and bridge closures, the city noted.
