A stabbing in Saskatoon left a victim in hospital on Thursday.
According to police, officers were called to the 3300 block of 33rd Street West, in the city’s Dundonald neighbourhood, shortly before 2 p.m.

“Upon arrival, officers located the male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound; he was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of his injuries,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival but is believed to be known to the victim.”
The stabbing is under investigation by officers with the Serious Assault Unit, the police service ntoed.
Man arrested after allegedly attacking security guard
Officers were called to a business on 22nd Street West, in the Mount Royal neighbourhood, at around 9 p.m. on Thursday for a report that a man was trying to start a fight with a security guard.
“Upon arrival, officers learned that a man had entered the business, approached the security guard, and assaulted him unprovoked; the victim was not seriously injured and did not know the suspect,” the police service explained.
The 27-year-old suspect was arrested without further incident, police said. He’s now facing charges of assault, mischief under $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
Man arrested after alleged assault with cane
A 59-year-old man is facing a criminal charge after allegedly attacking a victim with a cane on Thursday.
Police were called to a home on Avenue H South at around 3:30 p.m. for an assault in progress.
“Upon arrival, officers located the victim outside with non-life-threatening injuries,” the police service explained. “Further investigation found that the victim had been struck several times with a cane by a person known to them.”
The suspect was arrested inside the home, and he’s now facing a charge of assault with a weapon.
Man robbed by two people armed with bear spray, knife
Police said officers are investigating a robbery on Avenue P South on Thursday morning.
Police were called just after 9 a.m.
“Upon arrival, officers learned that two unknown men armed with bear spray and a knife had approached the victim and robbed him of his property; they then fled the area,” the police service said in a statement.
“Members of Patrol are continuing to investigate.”
Victim assaulted ‘with wooden objects’
Police were called to the area of Preston Avenue South and Main Street for a report of an assault on Thursday evening.
“Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had been walking in the alley when he was approached by a group of unknown people and assaulted with wooden objects,” police said in a statement.
“The victim was not seriously injured and the suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.”
