Two men are facing charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team.
The men, ages 41 and 32, were arrested at a home located in the 600 block of 9th Street East just before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
They are facing a total of five charges for possessing materials used to produce and or traffic a controlled substance, possession of identity documents of another person, possession of forged documents and weapons offences.
The following items were seized from the property:
- 31 stolen pieces of identification
- 11 counterfeit identification documents
- Knives
- Cellular devices
- Fentanyl production supplies
- 94 grams of caffeine (buffing agent)
- 564 grams of sweeteners (buffing agent)
- 7mm rifle ammunition and magazine
- .22 caliber ammunition
- .22 caliber revolver
- Assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
According to the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS), additional charges could be laid.
Train and semi collision
Just before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, SPS were on the scene of a collision between a train and a semi in the North Development Area
The collision happened in the 900 block of 71st Street East.
No injuries were reported, but traffic was expected to be backed up for several hours.

The police service issued an update just before 10:30 p.m. saying the traffic restrictions had been lifted.
Robbery with a hatchet
Two men were arrested following a robbery Wednesday night.
Police were called to the area of 10th Street East and Wiggins Avenue South for a report of two men breaking into vehicles.
When confronted by someone, one of the men allegedly waved a hatchet and fled.
When police arrived, both suspects were located and arrested without incident. A discarded hatchet was found nearby.
A 34-year-old has been charged with robbery, committing an offence while masked, possession of a weapon to commit an offence and unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon.
The 43-year-old man was charged with robbery.
