The Saskatchewan RCMP is asking the public for assistance as officers investigate a fatal pedestrian collision on Highway 11.
According to the RCMP, officers were told about a deceased person on the highway just south of the turn-off to MacDowall, southwest of Prince Albert, at around 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Police found the man’s body at the scene, though he has not yet been formally identified.

“Preliminary investigation determined the male had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” the RCMP explained in a statement.
“It’s believed the incident occurred in the southbound lanes.”
The RCMP said officers are working to find the vehicle involved in the crash, which they believe to be a black Jeep “which likely has damage to its front end.”
Anyone who captured surveillance or dash-cam footage along that stretch of Highway 11 between midnight and 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday was asked to report it to police.
“(Police) also would like to speak to anyone travelling in the area at that time, or who may know where the damaged black Jeep is,” the RCMP added.
The southbound lanes of the highway were closed during the initial investigation into the man’s death, but the route has since reopened to traffic.
