A 19-year-old man is facing weapons charges after he was found in possession of a firearm on March 31.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release on April 1, officers were called to the Central Industrial neighbourhood around 7:30 a.m. on Monday after receiving reports of a disturbance at a motel in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive North.
When they arrived, police said the man had a sawed-off firearm and refused to obey an officer’s commands. SPS said that “a physical altercation” happened before he was eventually arrested.
The man is facing “numerous weapons-related offences,” police said.
