Police in Saskatoon are once again asking the public to come forward with any information that could help them solve a homicide case dating back to June.
On June 12, 2024, police were called to a parking lot in the 400 block of Forrester Road, near Fairhaven School. When the officers arrived, paramedics were tending to 66-year-old Harvey Myron Zoerb, who was critically injured and later died from his injuries at Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital.

According to police, an autopsy confirmed that Zoerb was the victim of a homicide, marking the city’s 11th homicide case of 2024.
“This investigation remains active,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement on Thursday. “If you know something, say something.”
Police have also requested any relevant security footage from people living on Hull Crescent, which faces the school, as well as Forrester Road, Olmstead Road, Cooper Way and Cooper Crescent.
Cam Fraser, who delivered Zoerb’s eulogy, said the 66-year-old loved riding horses, as he grew up on the family farm and was a member of the Vanscoy 4H club.

He spent time playing guitar and singing, and he especially loved the Johnny Cash song “Folsom Prison Blues.” He also enjoyed going for coffee with friends at Market Mall, or for dessert at the Blue Diamond Restaurant.
Zoerb was also a cancer survivor and spent his last years in group and special care homes.
In a previous interview with 650 CKOM, Glennie Carlson, who lives right across the street from the school, said she was seeing more and more suspicious people in the area.
“You (see) a lot of people camping around, tenting around, and I think it’s not surprising if you see this crime here,” she explained.
“Our neighbourhood is getting worse. It’s no longer safe walking around.”
