RCMP officers are asking the public for help locating the suspect in an assault case.
According to police, an elderly man was returning to a parked vehicle in Debden on Friday afternoon when he saw a person going through it.

“The victim confronted the suspect, who then assaulted the victim before fleeing in a truck,” the RCMP said. “The victim reported non-life-threatening injuries to police.”
The suspect took off in a dark-coloured GMC truck, the RCMP said. He was described as a man in his 20s or 30s, standing approximately five-foot-eight, wearing a white shirt and backwards baseball cap.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was urged to contact the Big River RCMP detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
