A man from the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation has been arrested after a shooting on Tuesday evening which left a man injured.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to a home on the Cree nation, which located about 70 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert, just before 9 p.m.

The responding officers found a man with gunshot wounds, and he was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment, though the RCMP noted that his injuries were not considered to be life threatening.
“Investigation determined an altercation occurred between two adult males. A firearm was discharged and the victim was injured,” the Mounties explained in a statement.
“As a result of continued investigation, on October 9, officers located and arrested an adult male at a residence on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.”
Police said the 19-year-old man is now facing several criminal charges, including discharging a firearm with intent, assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and other weapons-related charges.
He was scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday.
