Saskatoon man dies in Hwy 16 collision near North Battleford

A 37-year-old man from Saskatoon has died following a Tuesday morning crash on Highway 16 near North Battleford. The collision occurred between an SUV and a semi in the westbound lanes.

After police and emergency services arrived on scene, the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead. The driver of the semi was not injured.

A collision reconstructionist is currently working with the Battlefords RCMP on the investigation, and Highway 16 has since reopened after the road was closed for several hours and traffic was rerouted.
