8:30 – A Saskatoon lemonade stand run by a seven-year-old girl, Maddy, was robbed by teens this week. Saskatoon police have made two arrests. Melanie Tucker, Maddy’s educational assistant, has organized a GoFundMe for Maddy’s lemonade stand. She joins Evan to talk about the situation, how close they are to their goal and how it’s affected the family.
9:00 – The Government of Saskatchewan announced this week that more than $6,000 in fines for hunting violations have been placed on two men in the province for wildlife offences after the men posted a moose hunting video to social media. Inspector Ryan Reimer, Conservation Officer Service, Provincial Protective Services, Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, joins Evan to discuss how the video came to the province’s attention.
9:30 – A new documentary is being released today by Canadian think tank, SecondStreet.org, diving into the state of health care across the country. Health Reform Now will explore the waitlists of people hoping to secure the services of a family doctor, those who have died while on a waitlist for care and the length of those wait times. Colin Craig, president of SecondStreet.org, joins Evan to discuss the documentary.
