Builder Brothers Construction Inc. pleaded guilty on June 12 to a violation of Saskatchewan’s occupational health and safety regulations in Rosthern Provincial Court.
The company was fined for failing to ensure workers used a fall protection system in a work area if the worker could fall more than three metres. Builder Brothers Construction Inc. failed to ensure a fall protection system was present in a work area, leading to a worker’s serious injury on July 25, 2022 near Hague.

According to the provincial government, “a worker was seriously injured when they fell to the ground after removing slings from a set of trusses.”
The court imposed a fine of $17,857.14 along with a surcharge of $7,142.86, for a total of $25,000.
