A 22-year-old woman is dead and a 23-year-old man is facing charges after a crash between a truck and an SUV in Saskatoon on Tuesday.
Police said officers were called to Quebec Avenue near 39th Street East just after 6 p.m.
“Upon further investigation, officers learned a truck was travelling at a high rate of speed when it collided with an SUV,” police said in a statement.
“The four occupants of the SUV were transported to hospital in critical condition where a 22-year-old woman passenger succumbed to her injuries.”

Police said the 23-year-old man who was driving the truck is charged with dangerous driving causing death and three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
“Impairment was not a factor in the collision,” police noted.
The crash remains under investigation.
